Opportunities for Young People
The Wolcott House and Complex education programs are thoughtfully crafted to foster students' connection with history by providing immersive, hands-on exploration of topics aligned with Ohio's Learning Standards. Our programs can be customized to your student's unique needs and include guided tours, traveling trunks, and summer programs that are compelling, engaging, and relevant for all ages and backgrounds.

School TOurs
Students will experience early settler life as well as learn historical information regarding Native American culture and lifestyle. School tours are offered from May through November.

Traveling Trunks
The traveling trunk program provides historical information on events, people, and places from the time of the Anglo-American entrance into the Northwest Territory, information on the lifestyles of the Native Americans of the area, ready-to-use activities, etc.

Summer Camp
For children ages 8-11.
Students will need to bring a packed lunch. A snack and water bottle are highly suggested.
Students will experience life in the 1800s with hands-on activities, crafts, and games. Students will learn about:
Native Americans and early American history in Northwest Ohio.
Activities of daily life including candle and soap making, laundry, food production, etc.
Fiber production and weaving.
Early transportation
