PHYSICAL PROFILE

Mauban is geographically located 157 kilometers southeast of Manila, situated in the mid-eastern coast of Quezon Province. Mauban is generally covered by rugged undulations of mountain terrains with scattered plains. The highest elevations are in the three (3) mountains found in the Municipality, namely: Polar in Sto. Niño and San Jose, Batok-Toro in San Miguel, and Badyao in Cagsiay II. The low and subdued reliefs and low flat plains of the inland part of Mauban generally sits on the Sedimentary Terrain Province. Metamorphic Terrain Province is located from the Poblacion to the northern barangays particularly in the Cagsiay area, where the moderated to high reliefs can be found, while the southern coast of the Poblacion sits on Alluvium Terrain Province.
