15 former mayors of Goshen who preside over the 20,000+ residents (mostly deceased) of Oakridge Cemetery
Since May of 1868, when Henry Daniel Wilson became Goshen’s first Mayor, the city has had 33 mayors, up to our present leader Gina M. Leichty, the first woman to hold the position. 16 of those mayors were/are affiliated with the Democratic party, 13 were Republicans, one was Republican-Prohibitionist, and three were apparently unaffiliated. Of those 33, only five are still living. 15 of the 28 who died are buried in Oakridge Cemetery. They are listed here in the order they served; click on any name for more details:
A complete listing of Goshen's mayors can be found on the Goshen Wiki page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Goshen,_Indiana. Scroll down to Notable people and click "Show" under Mayors of Goshen.
