PE Teacher Location Schedule
Rationale:
This is a schedule coordinating where all the PE classes go every day. There are 4 or 5 classes and only 3 rooms - a gym, fitness room, and a small side room - so there is a spot for everyone, but the system needs to be running smoothly in order for students to get a quality class period.
We all have to talk and plan together so that we are prepared when alone and ready to work together when in the gym at the same time. Sometimes there are 2-3 classes in the gym, 2 outside at the same time, or only 1 by yourself. Having a plan already in place before the week starts allows quality learning to take place.
Having good planning within the department will help tremendously. This PE set up is not ideal, but it works and runs well because the 4-5 PE teachers are in sync, work well together, and are trying to plan a quality period of physical activity for the students.

POWER PE Course Syllabus
Rationale:
This is the syllabus that was used for a class I was teaching - POWER PE. This class was a mix of general education and special education students. The class is co taught every day, with the two main teachers and then a few aids coming in as well.
Always working with at least one other educator, the physical activities we did every day were always widely varied, and were usually modified and adapted in order to ensure student success. There was always a very wide range of skill levels as well, which is why we always had a bunch of equipment that every student could use.
It's much easier to modify and adapt activities for students who need it when there is help. Working with others, especially other PE teachers, allows for more ideas to be thrown around, which will ultimately help the student or students who are being aided.
