Matt began cutting linoleum and wood blocks in 2016, he utilizes linocuts to create more bold and graphic work. His use of the color black as well as the curved cuts in his linework can be seen across most of his prints. Most of Matt's linocut prints have been done for his own personal pleasure although some of his pieces were done during class at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Most recently, Matt was selected to participate in BIG INK's upcoming show in June 2020.

Matt began engraving in 2017 and has enjoyed the specificity of the carving process. He often uses engraving to portray imagery that is related to nature because of the soft yet graphic texture that engraving provides. All of Matt's engraving work has been done outside of the classroom.
