Automated Glass Cutting Test Bench

1.1 Purpose:

1. Design, build, and commission test bench model of a medical manufacturer’s syringe glass-stock cutting process.

2. Automate the ability to vary testing parameters to establish optimal set points for process variables manually set in the factory, e.g., alignment and relative position of cutting components, glass-stock rotation.

1.2 My Core Responsibilities: Control System

1. Wiring Diagrams: Created from scratch using ACAD Electrical

2. Control Panel: Re-designing, building, wiring, commissioning

3. Programming: Automation Direct HMI, AB MicroLogix PLC, & AB PowerFlex VFDs

4. Integrating stepper motors with PLC
