Matsuyama JALT Officers Meeting

January 9, 2022, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.

Note: As the scheduled presentation had to be cancelled on very short notice due to corona event restrictions, participants to this event joined the officers and members of Matsuyama JALT in the following meeting. Prof. Kubo’s presentation is (re)re-scheduled for April 17th.

1. Reminiscence of Kiyoshi Shioiri

Those present shared their fond rememberances of the late Kiyoshi Shioiri.

2. Discussion and Suggestions

Those present exchanged views pertaining to present topics of Matsuyama JALT and made suggestions for preparing for 2022 and coping with upcoming issues, such as covid restrictions.

3. Election

In order to fill the vacant position of Matsuyama JALT president, an election was held. The program chair announced a call for candidates. Rudolf Reinelt was elected unanimously for this position.
