Fractal geometry is a special form of graphical representation of mathematical functions or set of numbers generated by a mathematical function. The term "fractal" was first introduced by the mathematician Benoit Mandelbrot in 1975. Fractals are irregular and fragmented at all scales, and they provide a mathematical description of many natural systems, such as clouds, mountains, turbulence, and coastlines, that traditional Euclidean geometry cannot.
