Description:
Students build a deep understanding of fractions through engaging, multisensory learning. Using hands-on materials, visual models, and movement-based activities, students explore how fractions represent parts of a whole, parts of a set, and relationships on the number line—strengthening conceptual understanding in a way that is both meaningful and memorable. Research-backed strategies help students connect fraction concepts to prior knowledge of whole numbers, allowing these skills to “stick” and transfer to more advanced math.

Throughout the session, students apply their learning through interactive games designed to reinforce key skills like identifying and comparing fractions, finding equivalent fractions, and beginning operations with fractions. This fast-paced, fun environment keeps every child actively engaged while building confidence, accuracy, and flexibility with a foundational math concept essential for long-term success.
