We have received items for 350 maternity packs and finalized packing.
We have ordered 350 maternity packs and expect to hand over the packed goods by the first week of June 2022 to Family Health Bureau for distribution.
Although we planned to purchase goods this week, we could not proceed due to the curfew imposed in Sri Lanka. We will put our best efforts into purchasing goods as soon as the shops open.
We have decided to close the fundraiser on 06/05/2022 at 10.00 pm (AEST), to finalise purchasing goods.
Reached the initial goal of raising AUD 10,000.
Started working on purchasing goods for the maternity kit.
Due to the overwhelming response from kind hearted individuals, we decided to increase the goal to AUD 15,000 which will enable us to donate more than 250 packs and bring extra smiles to the mothers and babies. Roughly Sri Lanka needs around 10,000 packs for needy mothers.
We may close this fundraising event on the 31st of May 2022 as planned previously (subjected to change).
Received the official endorsement from the Family Health Bureau, Sri Lanka.
Started planning the charity event by contacting and collecting information from the Family Health Bureau, Sri Lanka and other relevant resource persons. An action plan was outlined.
