We teach anything from middle school pre-algebra to college level math courses, like multi-variable calculus and linear algebra. It would be preferable if students have completed elementary school math.
This year, we'll be holding the tutoring sessions through the Zoom platform. The date/time of each session can be found in the calendars in the course's page. After signing up for a course, you will be added to a Google Classroom containing materials and assignments. You will also be sent an email the day of each session containing an invite to the Zoom meeting, and the password for that meeting.
No, we do provide tutoring for the other portions of the SAT and ACT, AP Computer Science A, as well as other middle and high school subjects. We can also provide individual tutoring for more advanced, competitive math competitions like USAJMO or AIME, but please contact us for further details.
We would like for students to consistently come to the online tutoring sessions as this allows students to stay on pace with the materials and content, but it is not mandatory to attend every session if one is unable to. Attendance however will be taken just to help us improve the experience for students.
Most of the materials for each course will be provided by the tutor, but generally we would like for students to have a working computer or laptop, and a pencil/notebook for personal notes. Problems and assignments will be given through Google Classroom.
Zoom will be used to host online tutoring sessions, and an email will be sent the day of the session containing the Zoom meeting invite and password. Students should check the Google Classroom page for that course in order to find required materials and assignments. At the start of each meeting, the tutor will first review any assigned work from the previous session, then will begin teaching the topic for day. At some point throughout the session, there will be a 5-minute break for students to fill out attendance and feedback forms. In the last 10-20 minutes of class, time will be left for individual questions
