The venue is the vibrant city of Valparaíso, Chile, known for its colorful hills and unique cultural heritage. Participants who will be financially supported by the project are advised to email Jérôme before incurring any expenses. The event will be held at Institute of Mathematics (IMA), PUCV, located on Cerro Barón, within walking distance of the city's district, offering easy access to a variety of hotels and restaurants across all price ranges. Cerro Alegre and Cerro Concepción are excellent options for staying in Valparaíso. Both neighborhoods offer charming, historic atmospheres with colorful houses and vibrant street art. You'll find a range of boutique hotels, guesthouses, and local eateries. Additionally, they are centrally located, making it easy to explore the city's unique architecture, museums, and cultural sites.

Cafeterias and Lunch Options in Cerro Barón
We recommend two nearby cafeterias at Mirador Barón: Barón Garden and Café Barón, located just 30 meters apart. For lunch, consider La Joya and Rincón Jumbo (inside the Jumbo supermarket), both situated at the base of Cerro Barón. In the Barón Garden cafeteria there are some options for lunch.

Travelling to Valparaíso
As you may already know, Santiago is home to Chile's main international airport: Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL). To reach Valparaíso, one good option is to go from the airport to the Pajaritos Bus Terminal, which offers frequent buses to Valparaíso.
Getting from the Airport to Pajaritos Bus Terminal
There are several ways to reach the terminal from the airport:
1) Airport Shuttle Bus- Available directly from the airport.
Cost: Approximately $2.000 CLP.
Duration: About 30 minutes.
Schedules: Monday-Sunday: 05:35 to 23:35. Departures every 15-20 minutes from Monday to Friday, and every 30-40 minutes on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
2) Taxi.
Costs around $15.000-$20.000 CLP from the airport to Pajaritos.
Getting from Pajaritos Terminal to Valparaíso
From Terminal Pajaritos, you can take a bus to Valparaíso with companies like Pullman Bus, Tur bus, or FlixBus.
Cost: Approximately $7.000 CLP.
Duration: About 1.5-2 hours.
Schedules: Monday-Sunday: 06:45 to 22:30. Departures every 20-30 minutes.

Direct Taxi or Ride-Sharing Service to Valparaíso
You can take a taxi, or book a transfer directly from the airport to Valparaíso.
Cost: Around $80.000 CLP for the best rate.
