To be most successful in Math 2020, here are some tips.
Start your homework early. The problems are not meant to be done in one sitting.
Work with others. The problems are meant to be discussed.
Keep a list of theorems from class for easy reference.
You will need to read your notes between class meetings and spend time understanding the material.
Look at your graded homework. Read the comments from the graders. Ask questions if you are still not clear.
Arrange your schedule to come to (at least) one drop-in hour or LA session per week.
Come to drop-in hours/LA session even if you don’t have questions, but to hear what other students are asking. It’s fine to just sit there and do your work.
Don’t be too hard on yourself if the problems are very challenging! They are meant to be different than what we did in class. But they tend to use what we learned.
