Community Guidelines

All members of the MCRN AIM Research Community are expect to follow the AIM Code of Conduct. At our launch event in June 2024, we discussed that a particular focus of this community is on innovative approaches to nurturing inclusive spaces for research discussion and professional development. We brainstormed the following behaviors and attitudes that promote inclusive spaces, which we encourage participants to act upon:

• Active listening

• Mentoring others

• Fostering connections between more and less-senior members where possible

• Help others with technology

• Ask questions when you don’t know something - everyone can learn

•  Ask for everyone’s opinion - especially people who seem like they are having difficulty being heard

•  Vulnerability and honesty creates inclusivity

•  Know when people want advice vs. just want to be heard - maybe just ask what someone needs
