Purpose

The Mathematics and Climate Research Network provides intellectual support and mentoring to researchers at all career stages who are eager to identify and tackle mathematical questions raised by the urgent climate and sustainability challenges we face.

We collaborate on novel research problems in topical focus groups, foster community and engage in co-mentoring through periodic small group activities, and provide networking and professional development opportunities.

A particular focus of this community is on developing innovative approaches to nurturing inclusive spaces for research discussion and development. We welcome anyone to apply to join our community, and would like to particularly encourage women and underrepresented minorities to apply.
