Students and teachers from the Primary School in Szlembark solemnly welcomed friends from Croatia and the Czech Republic. The participants of the project presented costumes and customs of their countries through dances, songs, presentations and riddles. On that day, we hosted the Nowy Targ TV, the Mayor of the Nowy Targ Commune, the Youth Harklowians highlander team and school directors. After the presentation of the countries, the participants had the opportunity to taste regional dishes from three countries. Finally, the students participated in sports activities. In the afternoon, all participants of the project together with their guardians actively spent their free time on a bicycle trip around Lake Czorsztyńskie.
Who doesn't like pizza? Nobody. Children and adults love it. On that day, the students participating in the project created their own pizza. However, it was not an easy task. Students working in international groups solved tasks on https://genial.ly in order to unlock the recipe. Once everyone had the recipe, they started making the cake. They measured and weighed the ingredients. They calculated the time needed to bake the pizza and ate it with relish. After the classes, the students went on a trip to Zakopane, during which they visited the city and admired the views from Gubałówka.
Wednesday was day of excursions. In the morning, the students left for Krakow to visit the Wawel Royal Castle, the Jagiellonian University, St. Mary's Basilica and the Main Market Square. They ended their visit to Krakow with a delicious dinner at a restaurant on the Main Market Square. From this point they went to Wieliczka, where they visited the salt mine. On the way back, they had dinner at McDonalds. There was no math today. Students in every free moment solved mathematical problems using a board game in a multimedia form.
Project participants learned what Temari balls are and what their history is. Then they made balls themselves, i.e. they created mathematical embroidery. Students solve short math problems. For the correct solution, they received a cupcake with the flag of a given country. After the end of the math classes, the second mobility officially ended. Each participant received a certificate of completion of the course. As part of international integration, everyone danced a common dance on the school playground.
The second Erasmus+ mobility was a time of great impressions, emotions and experiences. These days will stay in our hearts for a long time.
