Below I have an overview of what our course will look like.
As our course is "hybrid" you will be responsible for some learning on your own. This may include, readings on Canvas, lecture videos, discussion boards, and working with your group outside of class time.
Our class will be meeting for the full class time, Tuesdays from 5:00 pm – 6:50 pm on Zoom. Zoom Classroom. During class time you will be actively engaged in working on problems with your group. I do not require your camera’s to be on in Zoom, but you are required to have access to audio over Zoom.
Many of your assignments and in-class activities will be done in groups. You will keep these groups for 2-3 weeks.
All of our assignments will be submitted through Canvas. We do not have a textbook in our course; instead, all reading is embedded in the modules. Homework and quizzes are also in Canvas.
We will be using StatCrunch, an online stats software, in our course. You will need to purchase a license for this, but it is only $15 for a 12-month subscription. StatCrunch works through your web browser and should work well on any laptop, computer, or Chromebook. It may not work well on mobile devices. You can checkout a Chromebook from the Library for the semester.
