All talks will take place in the North Arts lecture theatres (marked on map below). Posters will be on display in the foyer area from the beginning of the conference, and the poster session will take place in the same area. The pre-conference social mixer on Wednesday 18th November will be held at the University of Canterbury Staff Club/Ilam Homestead in Ilam Gardens from 5-7pm. The social quiz night will take place in Bentley’s Bar, upstairs in the UCSA Haere-roa building. For more information on these events, head to the Program & Speakers page. The registration desk will be open in the North Arts lecture theatre building for you to collect your name badge from 8:30AM on Thursday 19th November, and will also be open at all breaks. We ask that you collect your badge prior to attending any talks or conference events. Badges will also be available for collection at the pre-conference social mixer on the evening of Wednesday 18th November (5-7pm, University of Canterbury Staff Club).
Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea will be provided both days of the conference. For those who noted special dietary requirements on the registration form, these will also be catered for.
There will also be some USCA cafés open on campus for those who require a pre-conference caffeine fix – Café 1894 and Chiltons in the Undercroft area of the Puaka-James Hight Central Library building (right next to North Arts) will be open 8:00AM-4:00PM throughout the conference.
