The focus of the app is to give people a better experience when they are visiting an art gallery by listening to podcasts related to exhibitions that are currently on the display.
Furthermore, increase a non-formal education typically related to the history of art and develop general awareness and interest in both local and international artworks.
The mobile User Front app is focused on delivering a pleasant experience while walking across exhibitions in a gallery. The app is designed with simple elements.
The Challenge
The main challenge is to tell people the fascinating story behind particular artwork or an artist. In addition, users can not attend lectures by curators regularly.
The goal statement
The gallery audio guide mobile app will let users listen to audio recordings about the history of art so they can increase their awareness of arts and culture anytime and anywhere.
Discover
Discover User research findings and pain points:
In-person guides are very often so long.
There is no option to find a lecturer every day.
I would like to keep the lecturers presentation with me and come back to points whenever I want to.
The printed text is so long and I am not able to read it as I am so lazy, even If I am interested in the topic.
It would be even nicer to be able to contact the curator if I have some specific questions.
Competitive audit:
3 key competitors compered: Louvre, The British Museum and VSG gallery.
