Weekly Schedule
MELS instructional days are Monday-Thursday 7:45-3:00. We are in session those days regardless of federal holidays.
Below is an outline of what a week will look like. One of the joys of homeschooling is the freedom to change and adapt as needed.

Extended Enrichment Explanation:
Each year, students will receive instruction in three specific EE areas. These skill will be taught in units and then reinforced as we move forward. These skills will be revisited and taught in a deeper way as the kids get older.
For their first year at MELS students will receive instruction in Critical Thinking, Financial Literacy and Problem Solving from 10:00am-10:45am.
During the last part of each day the kids will also receive instruction in the following areas of EE:
Monday: Hands-On Science or History Units
Tuesday: How it Works or Guest Speaker (alternating weekly)
Wednesday: Outdoor Education
Thursday: Community Outreach at Pioneer Village
There is opportunity for additional students to join us on our Tue-Thru excursions. In this model, parents will drop their student off at MELS at 12:15 and pick them up at 2:45. Parents will enroll their students and commit to the year-long education plan for planning and preparation purposes. Please contact Mel directly for inquiries.
