FIXTURE - a receptacle other than a trap attached to a plumbing system in which water or waste may be collected or obtained for ultimate discharge into the plumbing system.
PLUMBING FIXTURES - are approved type, installed receptacles, devices or appliances supplied with water or receive liquid or liquid-borne waste and discharge such waste into the drainage system to which they may be directly or indirectly connected. Industrial or commercial tanks, vats and similar processing equipment are not plumbing fixtures, but may be connected to our discharge into approved drops or plumbing fixtures as provided for in this Code.

Section 7. The Board of Examiners shall charge for each applicant or examination, the sum of thirty five pesos, and for each certificate of registration ten pesos.
Section 8. The members of the Board shall each receive a compensation the sum of ten pesos for each applicant examined. All authorized expenses of the Board shall be paid by the Bureau of Civil Service, and said officer shall pay all authorized expenses of the Board including the compensation, provided herein above for members of the Board.

Section 10. Compensation and Allowances of the Board Members. The chairperson and members of the board shall receive compensation, allowances and benefits, comparable to the compensation, allowances and benefits being received by the chairpersons and members of other existing regulatory boards in the commission and ask may be provided for in the General Appropriations Act, and all other related laws and issuances.

Section 9. The Commissioner of Civil Service shall be the executive officer of the Board, and shall conduct the examinations given by the board and shall designate any subordinate officer of the Bureau of Civil Service to act as secretary of the Board. All records and minutes of the Board, including all examination papers, shall be kept by the Bureau of Civil Service.Â

Section 11. Supervision of the Board, Custodian of its Records, Secretariat and Support Services. - The Board shall be under the general provision of the Commission. All records of the Board, including applications for examination, exam, examination, papers, and results, minutes of the deliberation, administrative cases, and other investigative cases involving the profession shall be kept by the Commission.

Is at least 21 years of age;
Is a citizen of the Philippines;
Is of good moral character;
Is at least a high school graduate;
Has at least five years of experience in actual plumbing work under the supervision of a registered master plumber.

Has at least five years of experience in actual plumbing work under the supervision of a registered master plumber.
Provided, that graduates in sanitary engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, mining engineering, or architecture, from a school, college, or university of good standing, and duly recognized by the government, are allowed to take this exam examination, without requiring five (5) years of experience in actual plumbing work.
Each applicant for the MPLE shall pay the examination fee and submit all the required documents in accordance with the latest issuances of the Board as approved by the Commission.

Section 13. Applicants for registration as master plumbers shall be examined in the following subjects:
Plumbing arithmetic, 10%
Plumbing code 10%
Sanitation, plumbing design and installation 40%
Practical problems 20%Â

Section 16. Subjects of Master Plumber Licensure Examination (MPLE). - MPLE applicants shall be examined on the following subject subjects:
Plumbing arithmetic, 10%
Plumbing code 10%
Sanitation, plumbing design and installation 40%
Practical problems 40%
The Board may modify, adjust, and/or cluster/classify here in subjects, taking into account the changes in the curriculum or practice.
