Masquerade is built on mystery, elegance, and adult freedom — and it’s the responsibility of Staff to ensure the space remains safe, respectful, and aligned with Discord’s Terms of Service. Consistent enforcement, calm communication, and timely escalation are key to maintaining that atmosphere. Below is how each House Rule should be interpreted and applied from a Staff perspective.
MASQUERADE (18+) is an adult space. No exceptions, no disguises.
Staff interpretation:
Anyone suspected or reported as underage must be escalated immediately.
Jokes about being underage require intervention.
Fake IDs or AI-aged images = instant removal and admin review.
Verification logs must remain strict; no “benefit of the doubt.”
Unverified guests are automatically escorted out.
Staff interpretation:
Unverified users auto-kick after the set timer — do not override.
If a member re-enters repeatedly without verifying, warn then remove for evasion.
Any verification concern (image quality, alteration, mismatch) → escalate.
“No” ends the moment. Applies to chats, media, and DMs.
Staff interpretation:
Unwanted sexual messages = actionable.
Staff must step in immediately when consent issues surface.
If a member screenshots DM harassment, open a ticket, log the proof, escalate.
Flirting is fine; pressure or guilt-tripping is not.
No harassment, hate, kink-shaming, or manipulative behavior.
Staff interpretation:
Any personal, ongoing conflict must be redirected or cooled down.
Hate speech or slurs = zero tolerance.
Patterns of hostility → warnings → removal.
Manipulation (love-bombing, guilt-trips, “answer me or else”) should be documented.
Always check before messaging.
Staff interpretation:
If someone reports an unwanted DM, verify roles and intent.
Non-DM-role members initiating sexual DMs = violation.
Repeat offenders → warn or action based on severity.
Don’t test limits or exploit loopholes.
Staff interpretation:
Ambiguous behavior meant to skirt rules should still be addressed.
“Technically I didn’t break a rule” isn’t a defense.
Staff discretion applies — you may intervene before a problem escalates.
No underage, AI fakes, non-consensual, or revenge content.
Staff interpretation:
Immediate removal and admin escalation.
Secure evidence → do not download unless reporting.
Never confront the user publicly; handle discreetly.
No selling, trading, or sugaring.
Staff interpretation:
Includes: selling content, seeking paid interactions, escorting, financial domination, PPV links, etc.
First offense: remove content + warn. Serious cases: ban.
Stay on theme. Max 3 cross-posts.
Staff interpretation:
NSFW outside NSFW = delete + warn.
Repeated mis-posting = disciplinary action.
Cross-post cap must be enforced; warn after 3.
Screenshots or downloads only if reporting.
Staff interpretation:
If someone admits saving others’ NSFW content casually → intervene.
If content was saved to report: instruct them to attach only what’s needed.
Protect victims’ privacy at all times.
Keep it mellow.
Staff interpretation:
Casual weed references are fine.
Hard drug talk (use, buying, selling) must be removed and addressed.
No glamorizing addiction or illegal drug activity.
No baiting, spam, or deleted tags to stir chaos.
Staff interpretation:
Delete baiting messages early to prevent escalation.
If members bring outside drama in, redirect or separate the parties.
Pattern of stirring chaos → warn → escalate.
Use the right channels for each vibe and voice.
Staff interpretation:
Redirect misplaced content politely.
Repeat offenders get a warning.
Staff should model proper channel use.
So everyone — staff included — can follow along.
Staff interpretation:
The goal is comprehension and safety — staff must be able to moderate.
If a member posts in another language, ask them politely to switch.
Repeated multilingual posting = warning.
Don't argue or mini-mod.
Staff interpretation:
Staff members should never argue with each other in public channels.
If a user disputes a staff action, redirect them to a ticket.
Never reverse another staff member’s decision without discussion.
Internal disagreements happen in private spaces only.
Staff interpretation:
Always direct serious issues to tickets.
If a member struggles or escalates emotionally, open the ticket for them.
Document actions clearly to help the next staff member.
