Masks are a core part of Masquerade’s identity — they signal progress, personality, achievements, and special moments in the community. Every mask has a purpose, and staff should understand what each category represents and how members earn or purchase them.
Below is a full visual reference of every mask currently in use.
Masquerade’s XP masks are designed to feel more meaningful than standard level roles. Instead of simple numbers, each mask marks a stage in a member’s journey — growing, rising, and evolving as they participate in the server.
Each mask has its own unique artwork and color theme that reflects the progression. For members who look closely, the masks also include a small line of hidden lore. It’s not something we promote or explain outright; it’s just a subtle detail for anyone curious enough to notice. Most will miss it entirely. Others may piece together something more.
Staff don’t need to guide members toward this or point anything out — it’s simply there as a quiet touch of world-building to make the collection feel special, collectible, and distinctly “Masquerade.”

Aura Masks are cosmetic upgrade roles that members can buy using their earned Aura. These do not replace XP masks — they sit on top and reflect personal style or status.
Staff Notes:
All Aura Masks are automated purchases
Staff should not manually grant Aura Mask roles unless correcting a bot error
Prices and availability are managed through the shop system
These masks help drive the Aura economy and give members something desirable to work toward.
Earned through achievements, interactions, events, or unique circumstances.
