Hi, I’m Mason. I’m a 27-year-old professional who enjoys building opportunities, bringing people together, and figuring out how to turn good ideas into something that actually works. I’ve always believed that the best work happens when people with different perspectives can come together around a shared goal, communicate well, and work toward the same mission. I’ve also learned that a good plan can make all the difference. When a team knows where it’s going, understands its role, and communicates along the way, a lot more becomes possible.
My background in public affairs, community engagement, communications, and operations has taken me from Western New York into roles where I've had the opportunity to work with elected officials, community organizations, constituents, and local leaders. I earned my B.A. in Liberal Arts with a focus in Political Science from St. Bonaventure University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude, and I've continued building on that foundation through hands-on professional experience.
At the heart of it, I care about doing work that matters. I’m drawn to projects that strengthen communities, create new opportunities, and leave things a little better than I found them. I like connecting people who should know each other, learning how things work, and taking an idea that starts as a conversation and helping turn it into something real.
I’m looking for my next opportunity to keep doing exactly that: learn, contribute, build relationships, and take on challenges that are worth tackling. I’m open to remote opportunities, as well as opportunities in my home community of Western New York or in the Tampa Bay region.
Outside of work, I’m usually doing something that gets me outside or gets my hands dirty. I’m an avid fisherman, hiker, cook, and gardener, and I’m always looking for something new to learn or try. I spend plenty of time at the gym, enjoy an active outdoor lifestyle, and, of course, a fair amount of my free time is spent with my mini dachshund, Duncan. He has a way of making sure I don’t take myself too seriously.
My career in government has given me an opportunity to develop a broad set of skills in operations, problem-solving, communication, relationship management, and organizational leadership. Over time, I have also learned that some of the work I enjoy most is not necessarily political or governmental. It is the work behind the scenes: taking complicated problems, organizing information, building better processes, bringing people together, and finding practical ways to move a project or organization forward.
That realization has shaped my decision to explore opportunities in the private sector. I am not leaving public service because I believe the skills I developed there have reached their limit. I am making a deliberate transition because I believe those skills can create value in a business environment as well.
A common thread throughout my career has been stewardship. I have been entrusted with information, resources, relationships, projects, and the needs of the people I served, and I have tried to manage each responsibly. Whether that meant overseeing district operations, helping someone navigate a complicated government process, building a centralized database, coordinating stakeholders, or supporting economic development efforts, I have found the most satisfaction in making things work better.
I want to carry that mindset into the next stage of my career. I am looking for an organization where I can continue learning, take ownership of meaningful work, and become someone others can trust to solve problems, manage resources responsibly, and follow through.

My long-term goal is to build a strong professional, financial, and community foundation between Western New York and Florida, creating the flexibility to remain connected to both regions and the people who matter most to me. I want to build greater financial independence, own a home, and eventually have the opportunity to develop a small homestead or similar property. I also hope to pursue entrepreneurship alongside my professional career, building something of my own while continuing to invest in the communities and relationships that matter to me.
