I am Majoring in Computer Science at Illinois State University and am also working towards a Minor in Business Administration along the way.
At ISU I have been involved in a lot of groups and have spent a lot of time in developing a diverse set of skills that have helped me tackle issues I never could have imagined, as well as giving me a wider knowledge pool for future problems.
At Solar Car, I spent a lot of my time learning the electrical components of the car as well as working on the code for the car. I personally specialized in the code for how the driver sends data to the motor controller, as well as coding all of the screens that the driver sees during the race.
Our microcontrollers send/receive data using the CANBUS protocol, which is the industry standard for cars. This means our solar car uses the same protocol as everyday road cars and even race cars. This was all in the 2023-2024 school year.
At the end of the 23-24 school year, I was selected to run the ISU Solar Car Social Media/Marketing team.
I was elected to be Treasurer for the Rock Climbing Club during the 2023-2024 school year. I oversaw our budgets from the school and ensured efficient spending.
During the Spring and Fall Semesters of 2023, I was a part of the Redbird Rockets Team. We competed in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Vertical landing challenge and took home first place in the Spring of 23.
I lead the Simulation Teams during both attempts and played a vital role in our Spring victory.Â
I have been a part of ISU campus recreation ever since I had the opportunity to get hired on as a Climbing Wall Supervisor in the Winter of 2023. Since then I have become a part of the Route Setting Team and have also gotten the opportunity to work as a Member Services Associate in the Summer of 2024.
