Masanori Handa (半田 正憲)
ギターを主体としたインストゥルメンタルおよび歌モノ楽曲を制作し、演奏ニュアンスやダイナミクスを重視したサウンドを軸に活動しています。
インストゥルメンタル、歌モノを問わず、メロディを大切にした楽曲制作を行い、空気感や余韻、音の重なり、そして一音一音が持つ感情表現を意識したオリジナル作品を制作しています。歌モノでは、歌詞とメロディの結びつきを重視し、言葉選びや自然な響きにもこだわっています。
強い歪みの中でも演奏の表情を失わないギターサウンドや、ピッキングの強弱によって生まれるダイナミクスを重視しています。使用機材についても、スペックだけではなく、演奏との一体感や表現への追従性を大切にしながら選定しています。
これまで、自身がリーダーを務めるオリジナルバンドでの活動をはじめ、バンド演奏、サポート演奏、ライブパフォーマンス、レコーディング参加など、さまざまな形で音楽活動を経験。現在も楽曲制作を続けるとともに、理想のサウンドを追求しながら機材研究にも取り組んでいます。
2026年、約30年にわたり愛用してきた Clayton Acetal Standard .63 mm Guitar Picks とともに歩んできた音楽活動と、ブランドへの長年の歩みも評価され、Clayton Artist として正式に活動を開始しました。
神戸市出身。現在は関東を拠点に活動しています。

Masanori Handa creates guitar-driven instrumental and vocal-based music, focusing on expressive performance nuances and dynamic sound.
His songwriting is centered around melody, whether in instrumental pieces or vocal songs. He creates original compositions with careful attention to atmosphere, space, sonic textures, and the emotional impact of each note. For vocal-based songs, he also places importance on the connection between lyrics and melody, carefully considering word choices and the natural flow of the language.
He values guitar tones that preserve expression even with heavy distortion, as well as the dynamic response created through variations in picking intensity. His gear choices are based not only on specifications, but also on the sense of connection with his playing and the ability to faithfully respond to his performance dynamics.
Throughout his musical journey, he has gained experience in various forms of musical activities, including leading his own original band, performing in bands, providing guitar support, live performances, and recording sessions. He continues to create original music while refining his sound through ongoing exploration of musical instruments and equipment.
In 2026, after nearly three decades of playing Clayton Acetal Standard .63 mm guitar picks, he officially joined the Clayton Artist family, with his long-standing dedication to the brand also being recognized.
Originally from Kobe, Japan, he is currently based in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
