Internship from March 2022 to June 2022
I took my required internship at a start-up company called Jacinto & Lirio. They are makers of vegan leather goods, which are sourced from water hyacinth plant leather. I was the admin of the Product Development and Design department so I was able to design products for both retail and corporate giveaways. While my internship was short, I can proudly say that I have left my mark in the company and was able to design 3 products on top of the administrative and operational tasks.
All the visuals presented, including mock-ups and sketches, were created by me.

The last but most prominent project that I worked on before resigning was the 2022 planner. Every year, the company releases a planner for retail, and we were tasked to design and conceptualize the A5 planner organizer and its fillers. The theme chosen was Philippine landmarks to promote the most iconic tourist attractions. The goal was to make the perfect companion for students and office workers by adding features that complimented the use of gadgets. It is big enough to store 7-inch tablet, smartphones, earphones, and other accessories.
The entire planner from idea to concept was created by us, the interns. The theme and fillers were designed by my co-intern. We conducted a market survey to decide on the colors and features of the planner.
I designed the layout of the organizer, its components, and cover art using Procreate and Photoshop. I used a combination of pre-existing photos of the old company planner, Pinterest and Google images to compose the conceptual mock-ups.

At the request of the client, we were asked to redesign the company's pre-existing desk planner called "Alamat" into a laptop bag. There were no specifications and budget given so we were given creative freedom by the client. We decided to create three different interiors based on varying price points. We increased the size from 9x12 inches to 12.6x16.5 inches to accomodate 15-inch laptops or smaller.
The entire laptop bag from idea to concept was created by us, the interns. We did our own research before coming together and deciding on the layouts and features of the laptop bag.
I created the visual mockups of the laptop bag using photoshop. I used a combination of pre-existing photos of the Alamat desk planner, Pinterest and Google images to compose the conceptual images.

For my very first task, I was asked to design a food packaging container that incorporated water hyacinth plant leather into the product for a client. The idea is that the container will hold other food containers for food deliveries. However since the leather is expensive, it would not be cost-effective to make an entire disposable container out of plant leather. Based on the design references given by the client and my own research, I presented a total of 4 concepts that promote the company's vegan leather without sacrificing the function of the product. The client was not able to chose the final design before I resigned but the final designs were down to prototype 0 and prototype A.
This was a solo project from start to finish but my co-interns gave feedback during the design process. I used Photoshop and Cricut Design Space to create the visuals and the prototypes respectively
Apart from my role, I supported the graphics department by editing and retouching photos in Photoshop.
I mostly did flat lays for publication materials, personalization of products for client proposals, and creating visual assets for the catalogue.
