Building Section and Elevation
Signage
The restaurant signage was integrated directly into the exterior wall, creating a seamless and cohesive architectural feature. To reinforce the Bahay Kubo inspiration, wood slatting was added to the building façade, bringing warmth and texture to the exterior. The orientation of selected wood slats was varied to create visual interest, adding depth and a dynamic quality to the façade while maintaining the project's overall design concept.
Section Elevation
This section highlights the left side of the restaurant, where varying floor levels define the banquette seating areas. A coat closet is located near the entrance for guests. The rear feature wall showcases a floor-to-ceiling bamboo design that connects to the undulating ceiling baffles running throughout the restaurant. Integrated lighting along the center of the ceiling is inspired by traditional Filipino salakot hats.

Floor Plan Layout
Upon entering Bahay Kubo, guests pass the coat check and hostess station before reaching the central banquette seating, inspired by the tarsier, a small animal from the Philippines. The design reflects its large eyes, with tables representing the eyes and seating shaping its face.
Natural materials are used throughout the space. Honed stone flooring defines the central and elevated seating areas, while walnut wood flooring surrounds them to create a warm feel. Different seating types, including small tables, group banquettes, lounge areas, larger banquettes, and bar stools, allow for different group sizes.
Going up the stairs beside the bar, guests reach the mezzanine, where salakot-inspired pendant lights create a focal point. The honed stone flooring continues through the center and up the back wall to the dumbwaiter, which connects directly to the kitchen and improves service flow. The mezzanine banquettes are inspired by the tarsier seating below, with a new design that looks like glowing tarsier eyes in a tree canopy.

The stairs beside the bar are separated by glass to keep the space open while preventing dust from entering the bar area.
