In the middle of social distancing, I was inspired to create my own pattern. This hat takes one skein of yarn as the name implies. It’s slouchy and stretchy so it fits most. It took me about a day to make. The lace in the pattern is simple, yet elegant. The hat makes me think of fall: crunchy leaves, sweater weather, and pumpkin spice. This pattern is meant as an experiment for different lace techniques. Each lace round can be changed to be a different type of lace, feel free to experiment to your heart’s content, the lace rows with the two yarn overs take two rows, so if you’re experimenting, I would do lace as one round and just knit one of the rows.
Good luck, and have fun!
