-Rayonier Inc.
-Cal-Maine Foods, Inc.
-LSU School of Veterinary Medicine
-LSU College of Ag
Career fair reflection and interest:
-The company I was most interested in was LSU School of Veterinary Medicine. I asked them about applications to vet school and things they would want to see. They were very kind and informative people. I think talking to them really helped me know that I am on the right path. The kind lady I talked to also informed me on internships and places I could volunteer that would help me stand out. I was definitely very nervous going into the career fair, but all of the companies were very kind and welcoming, so I got comfortable shortly after stepping into it.
Three things I would share with a student preparing for a career fair in a future semester:
-As someone who was very anxious about participating in the career fair, I would tell them to just give it a try and not stress themselves out because it really is a super welcoming and relaxed environment.
-The next thing I would suggest is to talk to a lot of companies even if you don't think they are for you or your future career. A lot of the companies surprised me, and I found myself quite interested in the internships and careers they had.
-One last thing I would share is to come prepared with a few questions for the company. I found it very helpful because I didn't have to worry about what I was going to talk about, and it really helped to keep a good conversation flow going.
