First Semester Reflection:
Reflecting on my first semester of freshman year, I learned many things. I faced many challenges and new experiences every day. In the beginning, I did not have the best experience with my transition from high school to college. Although it was very stressful and scary at first, I quickly learned that there are many resources provided to help you succeed. Overall, I am proud of myself for learning new things and pushing myself as best I could.
Some advice I would give to upcoming freshman is to understand that there will be challenges and that it is perfectly normal to feel behind or stressed out. I would also suggest utilizing campus resources and finding a balance between school and social times. Although you should study a lot, it is very important to still find time to give yourself a break and find things to enjoy.
Future Impact:
In the future, I plan to find internships/volunteer jobs to gain experience within the animal field. In doing so, I can decide what areas I enjoy most and have experience for my admission for vet school in the future. I also just enjoy working with animals overall, so I feel that these would be a good start to my plans.
