Introduction to Second Language Acquisition (LINGUIST 3LA3): The course introduces the students to major theories in second language acquisition through reading and problem-based assignments. The objective is to learn about theories as well as practice using them as a basis for generating ideas for both practical applications and research. Designed the course, chose the course reading materials, delivered class lectures, administered different assignments, the final exams, graded papers, and assigned final grades.
Intermediate American Sign Language (LINGUIST 3SL3): This course expands students’ vocabulary and grammar for communication in American Sign Language. It further explores the attributes of Deaf culture. Twi (Akan) Literacy: This heritage language course was designed for Canadian-born Ghanaians whose first language is English. As a foundational program, it introduced students to the basics of the Akan language. I co-designed the course, chose the course reading materials, and delivered the lessons.

Online Certificate Course in African Sign Linguistics and Interpreting: This course provides an introduction to the linguistic structure of sign languages, with a focus on African sign languages. Designed for sign language interpreters, Deaf individuals, inclusion advocates, and other stakeholders, it aims to enhance their understanding of the linguistic features and structures unique to African sign languages. Advanced Sign Language: A higher-level course designed to enhance fluency and proficiency in sign language. It focuses on complex sentence structures, idiomatic expressions, and discourse strategies used in natural sign language communication.

Sign Language Linguistics: As described above, this course examines the linguistic properties of sign languages, emphasizing their structure and how they function as natural human languages.
Advanced Sign Language: This course builds on foundational sign language skills, focusing on advanced grammar, narrative structure, and effective communication techniques in sign language.
Language Proficiency Course (Akan): A practical course aimed at developing students’ proficiency in Akan. It covers listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills while introducing students to cultural aspects of Akan language use.
