My research takes a multimodal, multilingual dimension to language, spoken and signed. I am interested in sign language linguistics, language variation, sociolinguistics, cognitive linguistics, discourse analysis and other related fields in general linguistics.

My recent investigations have focused mainly sociolinguistics and the role of iconicity in the visual-spatial modality.
