What are Sensors?
Sensors are a type of input device, often called a detector.
Sensors detect or measures a physical property and respond using electrical signals.

The Global Goals are a call for action by all countries to promote prosperity for everyone while protecting the planet. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) or Global Goals are a collection of 17 interlinked goals with actions agreed by all 193 member countries of the United Nations in 2015. It is the most ambitious international agreement ever made, to eradicate poverty and inequality, protect health and prevent climate change.
Goal 11 Cities account for between 60 and 80 per cent of energy consumption and generate as much as 70per cent of human-induced greenhouse gas emissions.
Goal 13 covers a wide range of issues, including limiting the pollution that is causing climate change and strengthening our ability to resist the effects of climate change, like storms and flooding in some areas and droughts in others.
SENSORS will help us live smarter, use less electricity and energy.
This is one way we can help these UN Global Goals.
We are going to use the Microbit to Create our Sensors.
Review the parts of the Microbit by clicking on the purple eyes in the image below.
First, we are going to create a temperature sensor.
Go to Makecode: Microbit and create a new project
Watch the video to make the Leve 1, Level 2 and Level 3 code
Take a screenshot of your code, post it to Seesaw. Caption your pose with an explaination on how the code works and what it is doing.
