I have always wanted to be a teacher, I think it is the possibility to help, grow, and understand someone no one else can. My passion for building relationships with young minds and their families motivates me to be not only the best teacher I can be, but also the best human I can be. I understand that with a position like that, I will be a role model. My students will look up to me and do things that I do. So, with that in mind, I made decisions that are backed up by caring, respectful, and honest reasons.
Education is a process that involves many elements working together for a common goal.
One of my main goal while teaching is to encourage my students to define themselves by making significant personal choices. I want my students to be able to express themselves and to look for answers through themselves. I want them to see that their soul can learn and that they need to really let their soul grow to find out who they truly are. In order to get the comfort to be able to learn freely, there needs to be a good relationship between not only the teacher and the student, but between the students themselves. I will try to the best of my ability to make a relationship with every single student of mine so that they feel that level of comfort. I want my students to fail, but then to learn from that fail and to get up even stronger. I want them to feel like they can ask any question and to look towards each other for help. Something else that is important to me as an educator is that there are expectations for both my students, and for myself. I want my students to be caring, respectful, responsible, and eager to learn. I will be flexible as I understand all students have different skill levels, and all students learn their own way. I will see each student as an individual and not as a set group or test score. I will do my best to make all of my students feel welcome, and that they have a want to learn and build with me.
