We can help you with your course schedule, choosing classes, finding student aid, study skills, locating and using sources for an essay--you name it, we have someone who can help. What's my role?

As your course instructor, I am your first contact for help you need in this course. If something doesn't make sense, sounds confusing, or you'd just like more information, let me know. Use that Canvas Inbox or email we talked about. If you're having difficulty using Canvas, let me know. But if Canvas stops working for some reason or you're experiencing technical issues, please see Canvas Assistance below.

  • September 4 … Last day to add, or drop classes without a ‘W’ on transcripts

  • Holiday … Holiday – Labor Day

  • October 14 … Last day to apply for spring 2021 Degree/Certificate

  • November 11 ... Holiday - Veteran's Day

  • November 13 … Last day to drop semester length classes

  • November 24 & 25 … Holiday – Thanksgiving

  • December 12-17 … Final Exams

  • December 17 … Last day to apply for P/NP

  • December 22 … Grades Due

Parking Lot Wi-fi

If you struggle with wi-fi access at home, you can get FREE wi-fi access at both Cuyamaca and Grossmont. Get more information for the wi-fi at Cuyamaca and the wi-fi at Grossmont.

Cuyamaca Cares!

Cuyamaca Cares is a program that offers many opportunities for help with food, housing, and personal counseling. There is food pantry on campus as well as housing assistance if you are having trouble finding a place to stay. If you have a specific need, please email Kaylin Rosal (cuyamaca.cares@gcccd.edu).

Tutoring Services

Our Tutors (In person & via Zoom)

To support your efforts to succeed in this class, it is highly recommended that you utilize the free tutoring services available. The hours are Monday & Thursday 9:00 am – 6:00 pm; Tuesday & Wednesday 9:00 am – 7:00 pm; Friday 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. To make an appointment, please fill out the Google form, call 619-660-4525, or email cuyamaca.tutoring@gcccd.edu with the course and time you would like to meet with a tutor.

If you are having trouble with technology, please contact the Help Desk at c-helpdesk@gcccd.edu or 619-660-4395. Leave a message with your question or issue and someone will get back with you right away. Hours are

  • Monday - Thursday 7:30 am - 7:30 pm

  • Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Counseling

To schedule an appointment with a Counselor, please have your student ID number and birth date.

There are 15-minute virtual drop-in appoints, comprehensive 1-hour appointments, and the opportunity to submit a question that will be answered via email. Go to Talk with a Counselor for more information.
