Open positions

We are interested in exceptional students, postdoctoral scholars, researchers and technical assistants who are interested in working at the cutting-edge of microbiology, molecular biology, systems biology and AI.

- Undergraduate and Honors students: please consider applying through your UAB program.

- Graduate students: UAB has centralized admissions but your best bet to do research with us is to apply to the Graduate Biomedical Sciences (GBS) program, the MSTP MD-PhD program, or via the College of Arts and Sciences at UAB.

- Postdoctoral scholars, Researchers and Technicians: we post announcements for targeted projects as positions become available, but you may also reach out with a cover letter and CV to Prof. Marquez-Lago at  tmarquez@uab.edu

- Candidates  wishing to join the lab with own fellowship/funding are also welcome to reach out and express interest. Please include details such as: fellowship obtained or wishing to apply to, CV, brief description of research interests, and what type of work you are interested in (e.g. 'wet' and/or 'dry' lab)
