Marlboro Alliance Summer Sale 2024

When? This event happens rain or shine.  

Saturday, July 27 from 9am - 3 pm

Sunday, July 28 from 9am-1pm (all remaining items are free on Sunday, 11am-1pm). 

Where? At the Marlboro School, located at 2669 VT-9 in Marlboro, VT.  The clothing sale is in the Marlboro Outback (aka the gym), and everything else happens outside, under tents rain or shine. 

Volunteers are needed on all three days of this important, joyful, annual fundraising event. Volunteer hours are: Friday from 8:30am-3:30 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 8:30am-4pm

Please sign up for a shift (or two!) and help make sure the event is a success. When you sign up, bring a friend along with you!

Saturday July 27, 9 am to 3 pm –  Treasurers, Clothing, Bake Sale

Sunday, July 30, 9 am to 1 pm - Sunday, July 30, 9 am to 1 pm - Treasures and Clothing Sale: 9 am - 11 am.  FREE HOURS: 11 am - 1 pm, all remaining items are free, though we continue to be grateful for any financial contributions.

Sunday, July 30, 12:30 to 4 pm - Break Down and Clean up. 

Donation Guidelines

To ensure that only saleable items are donated, please be prepared to review your items with a Sale Volunteer before leaving them with us. This review will happen in a clearly marked location either in the parking lot, or at the bottom of the driveway. Disposing of left-over items on Sunday is a lot of work for volunteers, and expensive for the Marlboro Alliance. We deeply appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us to make sure donated items are as likely as possible to end up in a happy new home.

We ACCEPT clean and usable… 

• clothing

• household goods

• furniture (you must be willing to leave your contact information and agree to collect the item on Sunday after 4 pm if it does not sell)

• Tools

• children’s games/toys (in very good shape with all the pieces only) 

• some electronics (less than two years old and fully functional OR antique/special interest) 

• some books (no travel, cookbooks or textbooks can be accepted). 

We prefer NOT TO ACCEPT:.

• Any accepted item listed above that is broken, damaged or missing pieces (included very dirty since we have no way to clean items before selling them).

• magazines, textbooks, travel and cookbooks older than 2 years (unless they are considered a classic)

• General use electronics older than 2 years and/or not fully functional . Old electronics that could be considered collectible/antique or of special interest will be accepted.

• Strollers. There are many resources online for passing along children’s goods, strollers and car seats included. We encourage you to explore those avenues to donate your items.
