In a gamut of jobs in this field of marketing it is really hard to decide one job and to be satisfied with it for the rest of the life. Today's business world demands for super specialization or may be ultra-specialization in one particular domain and for me that would be sales and marketing. Any business has lots of facets; say it the financing decisions or the risk management in finance domain again the core is production or operation where the value is actually created, but if the sale doesn't occur, all the hard work goes in vain. Marketing adds to it the demand creation with perfect customer segmentation with all lots of analysis and creating brand-awareness campaigns which brings in the advertisement sector into it along with analytics to predict the target and fire the campaign. A Marketeer needs to strategies his every move, every conversation with day to day update because "A marketeer who doesn't knows tomorrows market is irrelevant today". Along with it comes the Lead Generation challenge where the company actually makes the revenue by creating a comfortable base of potential customers. A big percentage of Carpet bombing of all offers done to all potential customers goes in vain due to lack of knowledge of the real need of customers. Here comes the differentiation what a marketeer makes to a company which no other field can offer. But potential customer base is just the first step. There will be new customers, impulsive customers, discount customers as well as Loyal customers. Handling all of these range of customers with proper on-boarding a new customer, up-selling in case of impulsive customer, creating switching barrier for discount customer and proper utilization of word-of-mouth in case of loyal customer; all these comes under purview of marketing and sales
