Trailer
What:
Compete to complete your shopping list, and get to the checkout lane first!
How:
Roll dice to move through grocery aisles, collect items, trade with others, and react to random events!
Why:
This game turns everyday grocery shopping into a fast, strategic race that combines luck, negotiation, and decision-making.
Market Mayhem takes place in a large supermarket during one of the busiest shopping days of the year. The aisles are crowded, products are constantly selling out, prices fluctuate without warning, and unexpected events can change shoppers' plans at any moment. Every player is trying to complete their grocery list before time runs out while dealing with the chaos of the store.
Each player plays as a different shopper, each with their own advantages and shopping style. Some players are better at saving money, some are more efficient in the store, and some can carry more groceries than anyone else. During their tour of the supermarket, players gather basic groceries, buy handy shopping tools, earn and spend money, and adjust to random events and catastrophes.
The challenge is that players may not always be able to locate the groceries they need. They can gather things that another player needs, promoting bargaining and trading. Players are constantly faced with decisions about whether to hold onto valuable items, trade them for future advantages, or spend their limited money on useful shop items.
Players choose from unique shopper archetypes, each representing a familiar shopping personality. Each character encourages a different strategy while fitting naturally into the supermarket theme.
