About Me

Hey everyone! My name is Mark-Elliot Finley, and I am from Sarasota, Florida. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary English Education and a minor in French from the University of Tampa, where I graduated magna cum laude from the Honors College

I am currently a graduate student at the University of South Florida pursuing a master’s degree in literature. I am a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, the Vice President for USF’s Sigma Tau Delta International English Honors Society Omega Mu Chapter and the Vice President of the English Graduate Student Association's Peer Mentoring Program

My research interests include the Early Modern period and fantasy Christian literature, with particular attention to the connection between John Milton's and C.S. Lewis's writings.

While at USF, I have taught ENC 1101 and ENC 1102, introductory writing courses required for all degrees. I have also completed the "Preparing for College Teaching" course offered by Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning.
