"Chicago Chicago.....i'll show you around...i love it!!" Frank Sinatra said it best. Chicago Illinois is one of the hottest tourist attractions in the United States. From some of the best food you’ve ever tasted to the amazing theater talent it is an amazing city that is being faced with a huge problem. Chicago is truly a tale of 2 cities, from having the one of the busiest airports in the world while also having the highest murder rate in the nation is a huge leap, but one the city and its residents are no stranger to. Recently people has seen a spike in unsolved murder cases and poverty over the past 2 years and celebrities from the city like Kanye West and Chance the Rapper have lended a hand in trying to help make reforms in the state. Most people feel the cause of the problem is the corrupt government officials and poor police training. In an article published in the Washington Post by Kari Lyndersen she goes more into detail and gives examples of how the government and police department need reforms and fast. Most residents and even Lyndersen feel that these reforms will best take place in the mayoral election coming in May.
