Feel first, name later.

Music Motion was born at the music stand: from years of tuning by ear in the orchestra, where a sharp was never a flat and where intonation is not calculated but heard. It is a family of tools built on that practice, so that the browser sounds the way the ear already knows.

Three decisions, and everything else follows

Pure Pythagorean tuning. Pitches are built from exact ratios of 2 and 3 — pure octaves and fifths — and are never rounded. That is why D♯ and E♭ are two different notes at two different pitches. Equal temperament does not vanish: it stays as a declared exception, there to compare.

The ear decides. No Music Motion tool tells the musician how something should sound: it shows what sounds and lets the ear judge. Names, theory and numbers come afterwards, as scaffolding for what was already felt.

One table under everything. The tuner, the keyboard and the suite read the same pitch base: tuning in one is tuning in all, and what the score writes is exactly what the engine plays.

▶ Pythagorean Tuner — a chromatic tuner that shows true musical spelling: C♯ ≠ D♭, with double alterations and tonal position. Guitar, violin, viola, cello and bass, plus an unlocked mode for any instrument. It opens in the browser and sends audio nowhere.

▶ ScoreSuite — six apps talking to each other in real time from one browser: the Cosmic Keyboard (the sound engine), the Score Editor, the Console, the Register Response, the Player and the Coach, which runs a composition game that ends in a four-voice piece written by the player. More than sixty instruments, all Pythagorean, with a user guide in Spanish and English.

Collaboration sought: the physical Pythagorean keyboard

The Cosmic Keyboard already exists in software: a keyboard where D♯ and E♭ are two different keys, with two different pitches. The next step is to build it as a physical instrument: a version of the LISTEN mini-keyboard of the Score, with the body of the Cosmic Keyboard but without its tempered keys — only the Pythagorean ones.

I am looking for an engineer or instrument maker with experience in electronics, MIDI controllers or keyboard mechanics. No musical training is needed: the musical design, the tuning tables and the layout of the keys are already defined, and I provide them.
