I am a high school student living in Charlotte, North Carolina. My interest in community wellbeing and environmental conservation has led me to research microplastic pollution. My hope is to develop a synergy between our environment and every day lives through sustainable practices. I seek to raise awareness and engage others in exploring the implications of microplastic pollution. Working with water conservations program like Catawba Riverkeeper and having a natural affinity for marine science, has broadened my perspective on the pervasiveness of plastic pollution in our society.

My name is Teaghan Oakes and I am a high school student in the state of New York. My interest and newfound talent in web design and social media management has been the root of my affiliation with Marine Clean. I hope to continue enhancing the appearance and accessibility of our social media to further reach and educate the public. I hope to assist in raising awareness of this significant issue, as the implications of microplastic pollution affects all of us.

My name is Sindhu Damodaran, and I’m a high school student in North Carolina! As our waterways continue to get polluted, it’s important to recognize why and how our lakes, rivers, and estuaries are dying. By researching and editing information about micro plastic pollution, I hope we can spread awareness and help prevent further damage to our waterways.

Hi, I'm Ashley, I am a current high school student located in Charlotte, North Carolina. I am looking forward to sharing and bringing awareness to the microplastic problem. I have always loved the ocean and beach, so watching it become more and more damaged from the pollution is not the best feeling. I hope to bring awareness to many aquatic ecosystems and help people better understand the problems plastic causes. I hope to engage others to join this incredible movement and make a difference for the marine life living in these ecosystems.

Hello, I’m Gabriella Galgano. I am senior in high school in the state of New York. I believe by acting on the issue of micro plastics we can get a stronger grasp on water pollution. Marine Clean not only wants to protect our environment but make a safer future. I hope through education and awareness we can help better our aquatic ecosystems. Hello, I’m Gustavo Pereira. I am a senior in high school in Brazil, interested in writing and environmental conservation. So, I decided to combine these two areas to work on the dissemination of information about microplastics plastics in general. My goal is to spread knowledge about the importance of pollution problems, with a focus on the methods people around the globe are using to solve them. I am going to use my expertises to share those stories and give a global perspective about the problem.
