I was born in Málaga and have been unsuccessfully trying to avoid cold weather ever since.
I am a postdoctoral researcher at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), in the Department of Linguistics and Basque Studies.
I studied Philosophy at the UGR (University of Granada) and I finished my PhD in June 2020 at the UPV/EHU. In my dissertation, I explored how language users interpret polysemous expressions and how copredication works across different contexts.
In recent years, I have applied what I learned about word meaning and polysemy during my PhD to other fields. Thus, my main two research interests are lexical ambiguity and the role of the speaker's identity in communication (interpretation and production).
I have also recently become fascinated by experimental research, so a big part of my work now consists of trying to ask questions about communication that combine the conceptual clarity and precision of philosophy of language with the evidence provided by experimental pragmatics and pragmatics development.
