Career Goals

Career Reflection and Goals

Initially, when I was applying for the Data Analyst position at LCFS, I knew that any job role related to Computer Science would be beneficial to my future career. Thus, gaining the role at LCFS was truly a blessing. Throughout working at LCFS, I gained experience that would one day be able help me as a future software developer. Even though my intern role as a data analyst is quite different from software development, I was still able to gain professional experience and learn new skills as well.

In light of this learning, I have been given the opportunity to continue working with Barbara through the second semester as a regular intern outside of the Sophomore Internship Program. I believe my continuation at this organization will help me learn even more professional skills and improve upon my analytical skills as well.

Upon graduation, I plan on going directly into the workforce in order to get started with my career as soon as possible. Currently, my short term goal is to have the opportunity to learn more skills that will be beneficial to my resume. My long term goal is to be able to gain another internship for next summer. I want a more software-based internship that will get me closer to my goal of becoming a professional software developer.
