We are devoted to provide graduate students with a comprehensive learning experience that will help them develop the skills and knowledge they need to be successful in their desired careers and lives.

Overview of Coursework

Graduate students pursuing a PhD in chemical education take courses in a sub-field of chemistry of their choice and courses in education. All required courses are typically finished by the fall of the second year in the program. Please check this document, which describes the different plan of study options based on the type of chemistry sub-field you choose.

Students are typically on teaching assistantship during the first year and are moved to research assistantship from year 2 to 5.
