Welcome!

I am Maria Rubio-Cabañez, a PhD candidate in Social Sciences at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. I am currently a visiting PhD student at CED.

My research focuses primarily on the impact of environmental factors, such as outdoor spaces and air pollution, on child development. I am particularly interested in how these environmental influences vary as a function of children's socioeconomic status (SES), which is shaped in part by spatial organization. In essence, my work seeks to understand how disparities in environmental exposures contribute to divergent developmental outcomes among children from different SES backgrounds.
