Échame una Pata is a videogame developed as part of a team project during my final year of my Fine Arts degree, within the course Taller de Interacción y Videojuegos. The project received a grade of 9.75 and was designed with the goal of raising awareness about different functional diversities, such as blindness and deafness, in a way that is engaging and accessible for children.
The game’s look and feel were inspired by side-scrolling adventures like South Park: The Stick of Truth and Night in the Woods, as well as the warm and playful aesthetic of the TV series Bluey. This combination of influences helped shape a visually appealing world that balances color, charm, and meaningful storytelling.
By blending an educational purpose with a colorful and interactive design, Échame una Pata aims to foster empathy and understanding in young players while offering an enjoyable gaming experience. Working collaboratively on this project provided a valuable opportunity to bring together diverse skills and perspectives, resulting in a game that is as thoughtful as it is entertaining.
