We are a friendly bunch of people who, for over 10 years have fun together whilst dancing. Not only do we dance New York, cross body Salsa, but we often enjoy Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, and Cuban style Salsa with weekly La Roueda sessions.
Was made to feel very welcome straight away. Look forward to this night out every week.
Friendly crowd, great routines that I use in social dancing. Would recommend heartily.
What Classes do we run?
The beginners class is perfect for those who have never tried salsa before . Absolutely everyone is welcome so if you've thought of trying Salsa dancing, here is the very best place to start!
The Improvers class is designed for those who have already learned the basics of leading and following.
The Intermediate class is for those with a little more experience in Salsa dancing. The class covers the follower's and leaders pivot technique, connection, body movement styling, complex turn patterns and spinning techniques.
Occasionally we teach Bachata in one of the classes. This is by popular request from members who go social dancing and want to expand the dance styles they can do. Check the calendar for planned dates.
As with Bachata, we occasionally teach Cha Cha Cha. Again, by request of the members who go social dancing and want to expand the dance styles they can do. Check the calendar for planned dates.
Following the classes we have a short fun session where we dance Cuban style moves in a circle know as 'La Rueda'.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. we use a rotational system where everybody moves round frequently. If there are more men than women (or vice versa), they may have to wait for a moment before we all rotate again. So if you come on your own, you will always have someone to dance with. Rotating gives you experience of a wide range of styles and better helps prepare you for social dancing.
For beginners, flat footwear is best. Something comfortable to wear, as you will be mainly stepping through the dance moves. When you move into the intermediates class you may then want to invest in a pair of dancing shoes. Many of the members buy from lots of different sites and would love to advise you once you are ready.
There is free parking both at the club and on the road outside.
If you have never danced Salsa before, then beginners is for you. If you have some experience, come and chat with Marina before class to see which class will suit you best. See our description of the class levels HERE for a more in depth description of the different classes.
Classes are £7 per person for the whole evening. We can only take cash payments currently.
Since early age, back in Bulgaria, Mariana trained and developed a great passion for Latin dancing, Gymnastics and Yoga.
She manages her own fitness and dance coaching business, teaching and promoting various fitness programmes, Salsa classes and party events.
The mix between her background and training helps her create fun choreography and styling techniques which express melody and rhythmic drive through body movement; and get every- body going!
